Is there a list of impairments that Social Security considers disabling?

Yes, there is a medical listing that Social Security will refer too make a determination whether or not you meet a medical listing. The conditions go everywhere from a psychiatric or psychological listing, all the way down to failed back surgery and Radiculopathy. There are listings, there are many of them. It's a very very thick book and Social Security uses that book to make its earliest determination as to whether or not you're entitled to benefits.
