How do attorneys who represent Social Security disability claimants get paid?

Return to Video Gallery

Attorneys who represent Social Security disability claimants get paid by the claimant, but it’s done these days electronically. When the claimant gets paid past-due benefits, a 25% subject to a fee cap of $6,000 is paid to the attorney. It’s very rare these days that paper checks go out, but it’s all done electronically.
