What is the disability hearing writing phase?

After your hearing, your case will be put into writing phase. Neither the judge nor Social Security will have the file. It is with writers. They're attorneys who are staff writers who are going to write the decision in your case. This decision phase, it's unwise to call or rock any boats. Usually, you have to wait between 60 to 90 days to get a determination as to your disability. That's what the writing phase is. There's really nobody to contact. A decision is being made and you do not want to interfere with that. After 90 days if you don't have a decision, it would be time to contact your congress person to see what the holdup is.
