My doctor has told me that I will be at “maximum medical improvement” (or “MMI”) soon. What does that mean?

The date of the your maximum medical improvement, or MMI, means the date after which further recovery or lasting improvement to an injury or disease can no longer reasonably be anticipated based on reasonable medical probability. Your date of maximum medical improvement has to include both physical and mental (if any) dates should there be a relationship to either or both to the industrial accident.
