Attorney Edward A. Doskey heads up our New Orleans, Louisiana office. Ed graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Florida, with honors, in 1993, and he received his juris doctor from the Boston College School of Law in 1997. Ed began practicing law in Coral Gables with the law firm of Sugarman & Susskind in 1997 where he began his experience as an ERISA and wage and hour trial lawyer. Before joining this law firm, Ed was a partner at Matusek, McKnight, Poluse, Cangro & Doskey, P.A., in St. Petersburg, Florida where he did workers’ compensation insurance defense and claimants’ litigation and began his own Social Security Claimant’s practice. Most recently Ed practiced as a partner with the Kimsey Law Group in Tampa, Florida where he litigated and tried cases for Plaintiffs and Claimants in the areas of personal injury, long term disability, ERISA, and Social Security disability.

For the past twelve years Ed has devoted most of his practice to litigating disability and injury cases. He has represented hundreds of disabled clients in their appeals before the Social Security Administration and in disputes with insurance companies over denied, private disability insurance payments, ERISA claims and denied life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) claims. Ed has extensive experience litigating against insurance companies, whether the disability insurance policy was purchased individually or as part of an employer-sponsored group plan governed by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). Ed is licensed to practice in Florida and Louisiana, and maintains practices in each state and is of counsel with the Law Firm of Mike Murburg, P.A. where he practices private disability, social security disability, and worker’s compensation law. He is admitted before various federal courts, including the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and the Eastern District of Louisiana, as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal.
