With reference to documentation of factors that evidence the disorder, in regard to an Organic Mental Disorders, what should a physician look for?
When it comes to  organic mental disorders a physician should look for Psychological or behavioral abnormalities associated with a dysfunction of the brain as evidenced by: Disorientation to time and place, Memory impairment Perceptual or thinking disturbances, Change in personality, Disturbance in mood Emotional liability and impairment in impulse control, Loss of measured intellectual ability of at least 15 IQ points from premorbid levels,  or overall impairment index findings clearly within the severely impaired range on neuropsychological testing, e.g., the Luria-Nebraska, Hastead-Reitan, etc..
