What is a DLI?
A claimant’s DLI is his/her “Date Last insured”. This means the Date a claimant was last insured for SSDI benefits. If one is found disabled prior to the DLI, he or she will be eligible for SSDI benefits. If found disabled after the DLI, SSI benefits are the only form of monetary disability benefits to which a claimant may be entitled.
